Join us to remember Emily Shane and continue keeping her kindness alive

We wanted to take a moment to reach out to our KIND community to join us in supporting a very important cause that is also aiming to make the world a little KINDER.

This cause supports, Emily Shane, a 13 year old girl whose life tragically ended unexpectedly on April 3, 2010 by a suicidal driver on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. Her sudden death had a tremendous impact on her family and entire community and has touched us as well.

Emily was an example of someone who truly embodied the spirit of kindness – the type of person who would always lend an empathetic ear and who shared her enthusiasm for life with everyone she met.

In Emily’s honor, her family created a website called emilyshane.org, which is helping Emily’s kindness live on by serving as a place where we can all work together to make the world a little kinder. All you have to do is post a good deed that you’ve done in order to bring us all closer to the goal of one hundred million good deeds. This can be the smallest gesture of kindness or a major act of significance – any act of kindness counts!

We hope you will join us in logging on your good deed and we hope that when you do, you will be reminded of Emily’s story and her family’s inspiring will to endure through the power of kindness.
