Nuts: A Heart-Healthy Handful

A recent study by the Mayo Clinic suggests that “eating nuts helps your heart”. Including nuts as part of your diet can reduce the risk of developing blood clots, a leading cause of heart attacks. The FDA recommends eating approximately 1.5 ounces (a generous handful) of nuts a day, as part of a heart-healthy diet.

“You name it, almost every type of nut has a lot of nutrition packed into a tiny package.” (Mayo Clinic)
